turn left on Route 597. Turn left on Route 122. Go about 11 miles to SML Visitor's
Center.
From Lynchburg: US 460 west to Route 122 south at
Bedford. Follow Route 122 about 22.5 miles to SML Visitor's Center
From Blue Ridge Parkway: Take Route 24 east, Stewartsville
exit. Follow Roanoke directions above.
From Christiansburg/Blacksburg: Take I-81 north to
I-581 to Roanoke. Follow Roanoke directions above.
From Washington, DC: Take US 29 south to Lynchburg.
Follow Lynchburg directions above.
From Greensboro, NC: Take US 220 north to Rocky Mount,
VA; take route 40 east about 1/2 mile to Route 122. follow Route 122 about 20
miles to Visitor's Center.
From Richmond, VA: Take US 460 west to Lynchburg.
Follow Lynchburg directions above.
From Danville, VA: Take US 20 north to Gretna to
Route 40 west. Stay on Route 40 west to about 2 miles past Union Hall to Route
834 until it intersects with Route 616. Turn on 616 then right on 122. Go about
2-3 miles to the Visitor's Center.
From Bluefield, WV: Take US 460 east to I-81 north.
Take I-81 to I-581 south to Roanoke. Follow Roanoke directions above.
